  • All pieces are originals, they are signed back and front, and include a certificate of authenticity.

  • Payment can be made online via credit card or PayPal using a secure payment gateway.

    Workshops can be paid on the day via cash or card using my square reader (tap or chip only, not swipe).

    Alternatively, direct debit is also acceptable, please contact me for further details.

  • All transactions and pricing will be performed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Art by Michelle Lawson reserves the right to change pricing at any time. Please read the full Terms and Conditions and Return Policy located on this page for further information.

  • Worldwide, but please for international clients message me first so we can arrange the best option for your country. When shipping internationally, I prefer to ship canvas artworks rolled in a tube and smaller artworks and artworks on paper will be shipped in a flat sturdy mailing envelope, or small box.

  • Australia: Small artworks (up to 30cm long) and artworks on paper, A3 and A4 are shipped with Australia Post and is $14.95. All larger canvas artworks are usually shipped with a courier and is $25.00. There is reduced shipping rates for Note Cards only. You are also welcomed to collect your artwork from my studio in the Maitland LGA and I can also offer free delivery around the Lower Hunter Valley region (consisting of the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock Local Government Areas).

    International: Additional shipping fees will apply to international orders. Please ensure you request a quote before finalising your order.

    Please keep in mind: International delivery costs do not include any taxes or duties which may be applied by customs at the destination country. Any taxes or duties incurred are your responsibility. In accordance with Australian export regulations, we are required to declare the exact value of all items. For more information on taxes, duties and customs regulations, I recommend contacting your local customs office directly.

  • Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for deliveries. Couriers and Australia Post are under increasing pressure now, demand is high and due to COVID restrictions, their operations aren't running at full capacity. I can express ship to you, if necessary, for an additional fee. Please contact me and request a quote for express shipping.

  • All paintings, prints, and sale items are final sale.

    All goods must be checked upon receipt. Please contact us within 7 days of receipt if you have any questions about the products you have received, as we place the highest importance on supplying all orders correctly.

    Originals are one of a kind and each print is made to order with much love and care. In general, we cannot accept returns, exchanges or change of mind on these custom made products, as I do not hold stock, but if there is a problem please get in touch.

    For any items other than artworks I am are happy to accept a return or exchange within 14 days of receipt of the goods. The item must not be damaged and returned in brand new condition. Return postage is at your cost.

    I do not accept returns for items that were purchased as part of a sale.

    I do my best to represent the colours correctly for artworks and products, but colours you see on your computer screen or device may vary slightly from the actual artwork or product.

  • If your package arrives damaged, I am insured for this, so if you would follow these steps that would be much appreciated:

    Take photos of: Any damage to the external box or packaging. The shipping label on the box. The damage to the artwork or frame. Please send all photos to me by email within 14 days so I can resolve this for you as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Gift Vouchers are delivered via email and contain instructions on how to redeem online through the checkout. Gift vouchers have no additional processing fees. Expiry is 3 years from issue date.

    You are responsible for the use and safety of your gift voucher. Lost or stolen vouchers are a drama nobody needs, they also can’t be refunded, so please treat them like cash. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged or cancelled. Items that are purchased solely, or in part with a gift voucher may be exchanged or returned subject to the exchange and returns policy.

  • Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and can only be used prior to their expiry date of 3 years.

  • I hold workshops in the Lower Hunter Valley area of NSW. Other areas within a 2hr drive can be arranged, subject to a travel charge. Contact me to discuss further.

  • You’ll have all the necessary equipment provided, including:

    • A 11” x 14” or 12” x 16” blank canvas

    • Acrylic paints

    • Brushes

    • Table easel

    • Apron and

    • Glassware for your beverages (most important)

    All sessions include guidance from me to assist you in releasing your inner Monet. The only thing you’ll need to bring is your favourite bottle of vino, some munchies (unless purchased as an add-on) and be ready to have some fun!

  • Estimated running time is between 2.5 – 3hrs.

  • Even though I provide aprons to protect your clothes from paint, it’s best to wear something you don’t mind the idea of getting a little bit of paint on. Also, think comfortable!

  • Absolutely! I encourage everyone to have a little food to eat while they paint and sip! Bring your own nibbles or let our local caterer do the hard work for you with one of their hand-crafted, locally sourced grazing boxes.

  • Yes, with at least 2 days’ notice.

  • Of course, you can! Workshops can be booked for those 6 years and older, but a responsible adult must be always present.

  • I understand that sometimes life gets in the way, which is why I’m happy to cancel or reschedule your booking for $50 non-negotiable fee per transaction up to 48-hours before your scheduled session time.

    If cancelling or rescheduling within that 48-hour window, a $100 non-negotiable fee per transaction will be applied. However, grazing boxes cannot be rescheduled or cancelled within the 48-hour window. If you cancel or reschedule your session within this 48-hour window, the cost of your grazing boxes will unfortunately be forfeited.

    Important: I’m very strict on ‘no shows’. If you don’t show up for the workshop, you will be charged for the full amount. I’m unable to refund, reschedule or provide credit for a missed session.

    Cancellations Due to Covid Lockdown – If your session is cancelled due to a government mandated closure, your workshop and grazing boxes will be rescheduled or provided to you as a credit at no extra charge. In the event this is not suitable, a flat $25 refund fee per transaction will be applied to cover transaction, web and administration costs.

  • In the very rare event that a workshop is cancelled, the ticket purchaser will be notified via email or text message as early as possible to the scheduled start time.

    Ticket purchasers will be offered to reschedule their session to another date or credited the value of their purchase for future use.

  • Art by Michelle Lawson during its workshops/events will take images and recordings. By booking with Art by Michelle Lawson, you expressly and impliedly authorise and permit Art by Michelle Lawson to take images and recordings of you, for the promotion and advertising of the Monet, Merlot & Munchies workshops, unless you otherwise advise with prior notice.

  • Copying or unauthorised use of my artwork is not cool, please don’t. All artwork is the exclusive property of Art by Michelle Lawson and is protected by the Australian copyright act 1968 and international copyright and trademark laws.

    All paintings, artwork, photos, video clips, audio clips, and all other intellectual property contained on this website belongs exclusively to Art by Michelle Lawson. No permissions are given to use, reproduce, modify, copy, transmit, display, publish, sell, license, distribute or commercially exploit any of the content or otherwise dispose of any of the content in a way not permitted by me, without my express written consent.

  • The purchaser agrees that the provision of any service, including but not limited to the public painting experiences, purchased from my website or directly is at the purchaser’s sole risk. To the full extent permissible by applicable law, Art by Michelle Lawson will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this site, or from any services provided from this website or establishment. No oral advice or written information given by Art by Michelle Lawson nor its affiliates, nor any of their officers, directors, employees, agents, providers, or the like, shall create a warranty or legal obligation; nor shall the purchaser rely on any such information or advice.

  • Art by Michelle Lawson is fully committed to complying with the privacy requirements of the Privacy Act, the Australian Privacy Principles and for Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) as required by Australian Business.

    Personal information will only be used by the business and will not be shared outside the organisation without your permission unless required by law (e.g. where a court order is issued).

    Art by Michelle Lawson will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information held against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

    Security for personal information includes password protection for IT systems, locked filing cabinets and physical access restrictions with only authorised personnel permitted access.

    Personal information no longer required is securely destroyed or de-identified.

    Art by Michelle Lawson will take reasonable steps to reduce the likelihood of a data breach occurring including storing personal information securely and accessible only by the relevant staff. If the business knows or suspect your personal information has been accessed by unauthorised parties, and we think this could cause you harm, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the chance of harm and advice you of the breach, and if necessary, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

    A breach of privacy and confidentiality is an incident and the organisation will follow the incident management process. A breach of privacy and confidentiality may require an investigation.
